1. Agreement to terms

These Terms govern your use of DepthLoop, DepthText, and MotionText (each an "App"), operated by Codebits and distributed through the Canva Apps Marketplace. Installing or using any App means you accept these Terms for that App. Your use is also subject to Canva's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must maintain a valid, active Canva account, be at least 13 years old (or meet your jurisdiction's digital consent age), and have the legal authority to agree to these Terms yourself or on behalf of an organization.

3. DepthLoop

What it does

DepthLoop is a 3D animated video creation tool embedded in Canva's editor. It lets you upload photos, arrange them into animated 3D card formations, customize motion styles and parameters, and export the result as an MP4 video for insertion into your Canva design. Rendering happens entirely in your browser — your source photos are never sent to DepthLoop's servers.

Pricing & billing

Every Canva user gets 10 free video exports. After that, continuing to export requires upgrading to DepthLoop Pro, a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited exports. Checkout is processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record; purchases are subject to Lemon Squeezy's own terms in addition to these. Pro access is tied to the Canva account used at checkout and is a one-time payment, not a subscription.

Your content

You retain full ownership of photos you upload and videos you export — DepthLoop claims no intellectual property rights over them. Source photos never reach our servers; after rendering, the finished MP4 is uploaded to temporary storage solely to deliver it to Canva, then automatically deleted. You're responsible for ensuring you own or have rights to any photo you upload, and that your use of exported videos complies with applicable law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to upload illegal content or photos without required consent, attempt to reverse-engineer the App, generate deceptive content, circumvent the export limit or credit system, misuse automated tools against the App, or otherwise overload our infrastructure.

4. DepthText

What it does

DepthText is a Canva app for creating 3D text effects — titles, logos, and typography — directly inside your designs.

Pricing & billing

DepthText's basic 3D text effects are free for every Canva user. Premium effects are available only to Canva Premium subscribers. This upgrade is part of your existing Canva subscription — Codebits does not process or bill you separately for DepthText.

Your content

You retain full ownership of everything you create with DepthText. Codebits does not access or keep records of your generated content — all processing happens locally in your browser or through the Canva integration.

5. MotionText

What it does

MotionText lets you create animated text elements — ready-to-use motion effects — directly inside your Canva designs.

Pricing & billing

MotionText is fully bundled inside Canva Premium — it's only accessible to Canva Premium subscribers, and there is no separate Codebits purchase or billing flow. Your subscription is managed entirely by Canva.

Temporary file storage

To generate animations, MotionText creates animated files (e.g. GIF or MP4) that are temporarily stored on our secure servers, automatically removed after a short period, not linked to personal information, and used only to let Canva insert the animation into your design. This temporary storage is essential to the App's functionality.

6. Intellectual property

Each App — including its interface, templates, motion styles, code, and branding — is the intellectual property of Codebits or its licensors. Using an App grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to use it for creating designs in Canva. You may not copy, modify, distribute, resell, sublicense, or claim independent ownership of any part of an App.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Each App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that exports will be error-free or uninterrupted.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codebits is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of an App, including loss of data, profits, or substitute services. For DepthLoop, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for DepthLoop Pro (or USD $50, whichever is greater) in the 12 months before the claim. Since DepthText and MotionText involve no direct payment to Codebits, our liability for those Apps is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using any App at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to an App, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or pose a risk to the service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as our Apps evolve — for example, if pricing or feature availability changes. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "last updated" date, with advance notice given where changes affect billing. Continued use of an App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Codebits' place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Unresolved disputes will proceed to binding arbitration or a competent court, as permitted by applicable law.
